EWAN CRAIG

Bath based Ewan Craig creates a range of considered pieces for considered spaces. Each piece starts with the idea of sculpture and function. Ewan creates a range of pieces by throwing and shaping vessels on the wheel, and carving with chisel and mallet. Focussing on sculpture and function, showcasing the marks of hand and tool. Reflecting the honesty of the material. Driven by an aesthetic thought of the beauty created through detailed craftsmanship.

Reflecting the honesty of the material. Ewan is driven by an aesthetic thought that most things could and should be made beautiful, and the best way to achieve this unique quality is through craftsmanship. 

In 2021 he completed studies in Historic Stone Carving at City & Guilds of London Art School, since then he has worked on creating public and private commissions.

Ewan primarily focusses on his commission works alongside his studio with particular interest in iconographic work, sculpture and printmaking.
