Claire Sherston is a multidisciplinary artist based in East London. Her creative practice spans ceramics, painting, and textiles.

With a background in printed textiles and pattern design, the transition from taking her printed imaginings over to ceramics was a short leap. Her inspirations derive from a highly personal hodgepodge of dreams, from ancient rituals and folklore to the cycles of the seasons and our connection to the earth. 

Claire’s distinctive pieces conduct connection itself: her ceramics are designed to be held, meals shared from them, and then passed down to the next generation to begin these same special ceremonies all over again.
